Burnout is one of the worst feelings! Feeling both physically AND emotionally exhausted is terrible.
I find I experience burnout when I’m not asserting boundaries and don’t stick to my self – care practice. I hope this list helps you if you’re experiencing burnout.
I know this can be hard AF at times, but it’s SO necessary. If you don’t work a 9-5, set your own “office hours” and stick to them! Don’t do work-related tasks or check your email after a certain hour.
Let go of the obsessive need for control
There are just certain situations that are out of our control and sometimes not having total control can be really anxiety-provoking (my anxiety tips here). But the sooner that we can accept that it just is, what it is, the better.
Let go of unrealistic expectations
Just remember that all you can do, is do your best, and that is enough. Being goal-oriented is totally fine, but don’t put insane amounts of pressure on yourself.
If you don’t take care of yourself, how can you expect to take care of anything or anyone else? I personally love listening to music, podcasts and reading books to recharge.
Have a solid sleep schedule
I go to bed at the same time every night, turn my phone off an hour before bed, and do lots of self-care to wind down. Going to bed and getting up at the same time each day will help your circadian rhythm. When your circadian rhythm is on point, it’s easier to fall asleep and wake up. No more hitting snooze!
Limit time around unhealthy people
Spend time with people who are good for your mental health. It’s always good to be aware of how you feel after spending time with certain people. Do you feel drained of your energy or do you feel uplifted? If you find your energy drained after spending time with them, then limit your time around them.

You guys know I ALWAYS say this!!! Make sure you’re getting your meals/snacks in, drinking lots of water, and taking your vitamins!
