It’s been a long time since I posted movie reviews, right?
Here I am with the Disney’s Moana review!
Before the actual movie, there is a short movie called Inner Workings played. the storyline of this movie tells about the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of the chief of a Polynesian tribe, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic to a goddess. She sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod and hopes to save her people by returning the relic to Te Fiti, the goddess of the islands.
Overall, I gave this movie 5 out of 5 stars. the movie is great and the soundtrack is awesome. Especially the song titled How Far I’ll Go which accompanied the scene of Moana, voyaging to save her people. What’s special in this movie is the story that tells about the adventure and the journey to find who you really are and chasing your dreams, and it really touches my heart, because this is what i’ve been experienced. And there’s Indonesian women’s involvement in this movie. Griselda Sastrawinata, from Indonesia is involved in this movie as the visual development artist. And young Indonesian singer Maudy Ayunda is chosen to sing the Indonesian version of How Far I’ll Go.
For you guys who haven’t watch this Moana movie, you should watch it because it’s a movie with a great storyline of finding who you truly are and chasing your dreams.
